I know, it’s been a while since my last update.
Between work, a trip to Texas, and even moreso, August’s “Month of Metroid”, it’s been a busy time for this little gamer.
So what’s the latest in gaming news?
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.
If you have a Wii, yet have been aching for a game that shows off the system’s graphical prowess, the wait’s finally over. Prime 3 is beautiful. The best looking of the Prime games, and with the control set-up, it’s the best playing as well.
As novel as the idea was with Link swinging his sword in Twilight Princess, one never felt in full control of the movements. Metroid makes you feel like you’re in full control (believe the hype, “Advanced” control is the only way to play). It’s the most immersive adventure game on the system yet, and while the game is criticized for being “too easy”, I think it’s simply due to the natural feel of the control set-up. They even have cool bonuses you can earn and trade with friends similar to the Xbox live set-up.
