Seriously. I am.

I know it’s been a long time since my last post. Believe me, I’m as surprised as you are that it took so long, but I feel it’s only fair to say what’s been going on.

I got busy.

And not just any standard issue busy. The sort of busy that you look up and realize that two months of your life have just up and disappeared. It’s been hustling for gigs, a change in job, a ton of requests from nearly as many people, some of my ideas for the site didn’t come through, and it just added up to the point where I barely had any time for myself, much less updating my content here. And let me tell you: My time away from here was apparently an open invite to blog spammers to dump their garbage in my comments section. 362 deleted messages later, and I’ve finally shooed those buzzards away.

But enough about me. The good news is that I have been doing a little bit of gaming, which means more reviews and content. I’ve been watching the new Tron Uprising series (which if you aren’t watching, you need to watch), and Classic Gaming Expo. is right around the corner.

I almost posted something about E3 this year, but honestly, it was so underwhelming to me, it didn’t seem to matter one way or another. It seemed like nothing we as gamers didn’t know already from any of the companies. I kept waiting for some jaw-dropping surprise, and it never really came from any of the companies. I’m starting to wonder if the easy access of online has simply just ruined the possibility of “surprise” for shows like this. E3 was essentially Christmas and Disneyland merged together for video gamers, and now it’s… just not.

Even Wii U for its second annual showing, I find myself just not impressed. I’ve no doubt that in time it will find its way, but after the 3DS’ shaky start last year, you would think that this year would seem more tightly put together. I honestly don’t feel like I know much more past what I did from last year, what the “big deal” is, or what’s even past the controller. I find that concerning, and I’m not convinced that the crowd they created in the Wii hype will make the jump to a new system as easily this time. Also of note, I think Xbox is trying to hard to implement Kinect into everything when they still haven’t made it impressive enough past dancing games.

The 3DS, despite its lack of surprises, just offered a solid line-up. Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy just came out (and will be a review this week), the new Kingdom Hearts, Castlevania, Epic Mickey, Luigi’s Mansion, Paper Mario, New Super Mario Bros. 2 (the coin heavy thing doesn’t do much for me, but the flying Raccoon Tail power-up does)…. That’s a pretty exciting line-up. And I’d be lying if I said the unveiling of the 3DS XL with its larger screen and longer battery life doesn’t have me drooling. But why they chose not to include that second analog in this revision is absolutely beyond me.

So that’s where I am. I’ve done some gaming (finally) in a little bit of free time, and I’ll be able to share those experiences here soon. So sorry for the LONG delay in between posts, but my intention is to ensure that will be a thing of the past.

Also: Spammers go away. The “dead” has returned, so quit trying to feed on the carcass. You should know how online zombies don’t take kindly to people in their space.
