I meant to update for a few weeks now. I was doing really good for a while there, but it’s been a crazy time at home. Well, that, and it’s been a busy time for gaming.

So here it comes. The Fall/Winter rush of gaming. I’m already well into it, with Fable II, the new Penny Arcade episode, the new Strong Bad Episode, Rock Band 2, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, and Fallout 3.

Oh, and let’s not forget the impending Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe, Left 4 Dead (more on that in a bit), Chrono Trigger DS, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories….

It’s almost a mercy with Ghostbusters now coming out next year (Thank you, Atari).

This Fall alone, I have saved so many princesses, mowed through Stormtroopers, rocked out concert venues, and ironically, I don’t have as much time to play as I used to. But I feel like I’m running a marathon. On the plus side, my Gamerscore is looking rather healthy these days.

On the subject of Left 4 Dead, it’s… pretty much just great. It’s more 28 Days Later than Resident Evil, and it does the hordes of fast-moving undead legions to a tee. I’ve jumped more than a few times from that “Oh crap” feeling you get because a partner set off a car alarm, triggering total unrelenting Hell. Co-op in a game like this? Oh, yeah. It’s great when certain friends of mine don’t bump me into a pit full of zombies by myself, then standing above and laugh their heads off. Jerk.

But the demo is awesome, and highly recommended if you have the appropriate system or PC.

Next week is not going to be any more gentle on the play schedule, either. If you see me online, I’ll be playing a few “Live” games, so feel free to join in one.
